PROVO– The BYU Hall of Fame induction ceremony made for a night five former Cougars will never forget.
The Hinckley Center hosted the event. Willard Hirschi and John Hedengren were inducted for their feats in track and field, women’s volleyball brought three-time All-American Nina Puikkonen to the list, and fan favorites Rob Morris and Luke Staley were recognized for their time at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
“I broke down,” Puikkonen said. “…the feeling that I’ve had since then is just an overwhelming feeling of gratitude.”
The athletes are thrilled to have their names etched next to Cougar greats and will be honored at tonight’s football game.
